It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra Ann Thompson of Elgin, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bette Jayne Kunz and Robert Kunz; her grandparents, Josephine Kunz, Rudolph Kunz, Elma Nelson and Axel Nelson; her parents-in-law, Harold Thompson, Rita Thompson, Audrey Jayne Buderus and Brooks Buderus; and her sister-in-law Sandee Kunz.
She is survived by: her husband Matthew Thompson; her children, Alissia Thompson (Kieta Wheeler), Derek Thompson, Ryan Thompson and Rachel Huber (Zach Huber); and her siblings, Pamela Kunz, Sandy Peterson (Larry Peterson), Mark Kunz and Scott Kunz (Tammy Kunz).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Hope School Foundation.
