It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Ann Helton of Eldred, Illinois, born in Kampsville, Illinois, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oswin Zipprich and Selma Zipprich (Blackwell); her parents-in-law, Charles Sr. and Norine Helton (Kanallakan); her daughter-in-law Debra Helton; her sisters, Selma Lee Gerecke (Bo) and Mary Margaret Whisman (Elza); and her uncles, Frank and Leonard Zipprich.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Helton Jr.; her son Charles Helton III of Carrollton; her grandchildren, Charlene Helton of Fishers, IN and Charles Helton IV of Jacksonville, FL; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Helton of Creve Coeur, MO and Beverly Helton of Lakewood Ranch, FL; her nieces, Melissa Lorsbach (Butch) of Hardin and Margaret Bauer (Jim) of Quincy; her great-nephew C. W. Lorsbach (Christie) of Hardin; her great-niece Lauren Droege (Dane) of Hardin; and also, Bo, Riley Lorsbach, Reed and Case Droege.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Eldred Baptist Church or Boyd Hospital and sent to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, 108 5th St. Carrollton, Il. 62016.
