He was predeceased by: his father James Whitler; his former wife Fay Whitler; his parent Delsie Ward Whitler; and his siblings, James Franklin Whitler, Jerry Whitler and Clara Wiley.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Moore Whitler; his sons, Mark Whitler (Kellye) of Harrisburg, Kyle Whitler (Susan) of Fort Mill and Kevin Whitler (Sherry) of Paducah; his brothers, Kenneth Whitler and Keith Whitler; and his grandchildren, Karen Henderson, Kelsey Cater, Ian Whitler, Evan Whitler and Owen Whitler. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home (1517 Locust St, Eldorado, IL 62930). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
