It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewell Eugene Pearce of Eldorado, Illinois, born in Dahlgren, Illinois, who passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewell Pearce Sr. and Lela Pearce (Mitchell); his wife Elsie Pearce; his stepson Paul Turrentine; his granddaughter Emilie Turrentine; and his siblings, Robert Pearce, Charles Pearce, Thomas Pearce, James Pearce, Pearl Mitchell, Gladys Story and Barbara Moore.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Pearce of Baileyton, AL, Robert Pearce of Eldorado, IL, Kathy King (Woody Norris) of Arab, AL and Donna McCollum of Cambria, IL; his stepchildren, Donna Faye Johnson (Brad) of South Carolina and Joe Turrentine (Sheila) of Brownsville, IL; his daughter-in-law Amy Pearce of Eldorado; his sisters, Delsie Herbert of El Reno, OK and Dorothy Martin (Wayne) of Tullahoma, TN; and his caregiver Tena Thorne of Eldorado. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren.
