It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Ann Wright of Eldorado, Illinois, who passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Allen and Madge Lee Hosmon (Hendrickson); her husband James G. "Jim" Wright Jr.; her siblings, Jerry, Estes Hosmon, Sue Lomax, Fran Buttrum and Judy McMillin; and her close friend Rosemary DeVillez.
She is survived by: her children, James F. Wright (Sandy) of Lake Alfred, FL and Marie L. Lands (Keith) of Harrisburg; her grandchildren, Jamie M. Owens (Kyle) of Winter Haven, FL and Rachel E. Lands of Harrisburg; her great grandchild Adaline R. Owens; her sisters, Harriett June Phelps of Raleigh and Janet Peebels (Stacey) of Pittsburg; her sisters-in-law, Brenda Hosmon of Crab Orchard, Cheryl Hosmon of Crab Orchard, Katherine Wright of Eldorado and Margaret Hall (Gene) of Eldorado; and her close friends, Harry E. DeVillez, Courtney Ashby (Nathan) and Kennedy Ashby.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home (1517 Locust St, Eldorado, IL 62930). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in her memory may be made to, College Heights Baptist Church or Mt. Zion Cemetery at Rock, IL.
