It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon L. Elston of El Paso, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on December 28, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon, Sr. Elston and Phyllis Edenburn Elston; his former wife Kathy Shepherd; and his sisters, Sandy and Barb.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Gibbs; his sons, David Elston of Minonk, Nathan Elston (Carrie) of Virginia, IL and Kevin Elston (Bev) of El Paso; and his siblings, Richard Elston (Shelley) of Maricopa, AZ, Terry Elston (Coleen) of Bellevue and Debbie Hasty (Bob) of Hanna City. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Covid-19 protocol will be observed throughout the evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
