She was predeceased by: her daughter Meghan Ummel; and her father Richard L. "Dick" Downen. She is survived by: her mother Shirley Shickel Downen of Bloomington; her husband Michael L. Ummel; her son Mitchell Ummel (Shelby) of Normal; her grandchildren, Quinn and Sutton Ummel; and her sister Brenda Downen (Laurie Swain) of Bloomington. She is also survived by her family, especially her aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
