He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Blaine and Helen Schapmire Blaine; his son Steven; and his siblings, Michael "Mickey", Betty, Shirley and Beverly.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Jensen; his children, Douglas Blaine (Kim) of Bloomington and Maria Nelson (Michael) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Adison Blaine, Jake and Matt Nelson; his siblings, Patricia Deerwester of Bloomington, Sandy Ogan of Towanda and George Blaine of El Paso; and his sister-in-law Deanna Blaine of Lostant, IL..

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Building fund in Bloomington.
