He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Cleary and Isabelle Cleary (Vogel); his wife Jean; and his siblings, Jack and Mary Adlington (Cleary).
He is survived by: his former wife Jeanette Thomas; his brother Steve Cleary (Trish); his children, Ann Dawson (Marty), Tom Cleary (Julie), Susan Mitchell (Scott) and John Cleary (Angela); and his grandchildren, Rachel Cleary, Ashley Mitchell, Brooke Wettstein (Taylor), Jordan Mitchell, Garrett Dawson and Brigid Cleary. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
