It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Reid Sr. of Effingham, Illinois, born in Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on December 18, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Edward and Lorene Reid (Hatfield); his son Michael Reid; his brothers, Steve Reid and Ronnie Reid; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Smith Jr. and Gwen Reid.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Reid (Lulabelle) of LaClede, Billy Reid (Dawn) of Odin, John Wooters of Effingham, Illinois and Robin Shoemaker (Jimmy) of Salem, Illinois; his siblings, Chuck Reid (Gayle) of Salem, Bob Reid of Farina, Illinois, Kathy Smith of Salem, Barb Tucker (Jim) of St. Elmo and Dorothy Watson of Salem, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Brett Reid, Blake Reid, Paul Reid Jr., Mercedes Reid, Cody Shoemaker, Kayla Shoemaker, Colton Shoemaker, Stephanie Dodson and Rachel West. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
