He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Wernsing and Jeanette Wernsing (Swingler); and his brother Philip. He is survived by: his sisters, Susan Brummer (Jerry) of Teutopolis and Christie Stephens (Doug) of Teutopolis; his nieces and nephews, Ross Stephens (Jamie), Monica Brummer, Christopher Brummer (Jenny) and Kimberly Vigue (James); and his great-nieces, Amelia Brummer, Corin Brummer, Lena Vigue and Aerin Vigue.
