He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Austin and Bessie Austin (Jones); and his brothers, Charles E. Austin and Marvin Austin. He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Chapin of Lansing and Jane Austin of Effingham, Illinois; his sister Melba Lawrence (James) of Effingham, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Dylan Bartels, Courtney Chapin, Elinor Rose and Victoria.
