We bid farewell to Vera Dalyne Sapp of Effingham, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 31, 2025 at the age of 88. Vera Dalyne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Tipsword and Laura Mabelle Tipsword (Doty); and her siblings, Keith Warren Tipsword, Deane Tipsword, Hugh Tipsword, Gayle Norris, Frances Jean White and Betty Fae Yocum.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Sapp of Effingham, Brett Sapp (Janet) of Energy, Tory Buhnerkempe (Roger) of Watson and Scott Sapp (Kelly) of Effingham. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Food Pantry or Effingham County FISH.
