With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Schaefer of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on January 14, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Beulah Violet Schaefer (Hinkle); and her brothers, Johnny Schaefer and Wilbert Schaefer. She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Schaefer of Effingham and Marilyn Schaefer of Effingham; and her nieces and nephews, Don Schaefer (Mary) of Visalia, CA, Kevin Schaefer of Effingham, Todd Schaefer (Michelle) of Effingham, Karla Probst (Kurt) of Stewardson, Teri Schaefer of Effingham, Linda Buscher (Joe) of Effingham and Jenee Berg (Randy) of Altamont. She is also survived by 15 great nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great nieces and nephews.
