It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell Mitchell (Effingham, Illinois), born in Flora, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Mitchell and Pearl Mitchell (McLaren); his stepfather Robson; his brothers, Henry, Jim and Eldon; his sister-in-law Joyce; and his son Roger Lynn.
He is survived by: his brother Keith Graham of Flora; his wife Phyllis; his children, Allen (Martha) of Belleville, IL and Janet Dowden of Watson; his grandson Evan of Taylorville; his siblings-in-law, Lynden Balding (Bonita) and Alyce Whitten (Wesley) of Arlington, TX; and also, Elm St and Olney. He is also survived by sister-in-law, July Mitchell, of Sequim, WA, and several nieces and nephews.
Brother Keith Graham, of Flora, will preside over the service.In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Saint Anthony's HSHS and Crossroads Cancer Center in Effingham, or donor's choice.
