He is survived by: his former wife Elsa Kay Ferguson; his wife Susan Cress Samuel; his children, John Thomas Lawry (Lizbeth) of Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, Catherine Lawry of Bloomington, Elisabeth Stewart (Michael) of Lisburn and Northern Ireland; his stepsons, Christopher J. Samuel (Laura) of San Antonio and Andrew J. Samuel (Treasure) of Bellingham, Washington.; his granddaughters, Briana Lawry-Popelka (Jack), Kennedy Stewart, Alyssa Lawry, Niamh Stewart, Kelly Sue Samuel and Norah Jo Samuel; his siblings, Thomas Lawry (Mary Catherine) of Aurora and Lynn Thienel (Glenn) of Corydon, Indiana.; his niece Julie Fletcher; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emily and Elaina; his nephew Chris (Rachel); his great-niece Lillian; and his friend Lou Groza.
