He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester "Sparky" Mihlbachler and Norma Mihlbachler (Widmeier); his wife Sandy Mihlbachler (Richards); his daughter-in-law Penny Mihlbachler; and his brother-in-law Kenny Probst.

He is survived by: his former wife Connie Broom (Goeckner); his children, Rob (Michelle) of Effingham and Angie Lark (Philip) of Watson; his grandchildren, Ryne, Molly, Katy Mihlbachler and Leighton Lark; his sister Karen Probst of Effingham; his stepdaughter Teri Meyer (Joe); his stepgrandchildren, Molly, Megan and Maddie; his stepson Jeff Richards (Julie) of Effingham; and his stepgrandchildren, Kate, Emma and Meg.
