With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Dust Sr. of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on January 12, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Dust and Mary Dust (Hakman); his sisters, Sheila Johnson and Sharon Likovic; and his grandson Will.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Bowlin of Effingham; his children, Cheri Kistler (Andy) of Effingham, Rich Dust (Angela) of Watson, Tim Dust (Rosa) of Watson and Matt Dust (Sara) of Bloomington; his grandchildren, Taylor, Brooke, Rhett, Raegan, Jessica, Trevin and Ethan; his great grandchild Emma; and his pet Bandit.
Memorial donations may be given to the Effingham Retired Volunteer Firefighters Association.
