He is survived by: his wife Donna Short of Effingham, IL; his children, Richard Dean Short of Watson, IL and Nancy; his son-in-law Robert Loy of Stewardson, IL; his grandchildren, Rustetta, Will Lance of Brownsburg, IN, Justin, Vickie Short, William, Erica Loy, Ocala and Trenton Loy (Melissa Musgrave); his great grandchildren, Amanda-Quinn Lance, Kayann Lance, Clayton Lance, BaileyKay Loy, Damian Loy, Abby Loy, Alex Loy, Jade Short and Jaxon Short; his brother Harold; his sister-in-law Nila Short of Hardinville, IL; his nieces, Jamie Chiddix of Willow Hill, IL and Tammy Stanley; his great-nieces, Nikkie Chiddix of Hardinville and Raynn Chiddix of Hardinville; his nephew Randy Manning; and also Oakley Chiddix.
Due to the Covid 19 the family has requested that everyone attending please wear a face covering while attending the visitation and service.
