It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Utz (Effingham, Illinois), who passed away on March 11, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Sur and Margaret Sur (Osthoff) of Effingham; and her brother Richard Sur. She is survived by: her husband Tom Utz of Effingham; her children, Keith Utz of Mattoon, Cheryl Will (Mike) of Effingham, Carrie Spour (Mark) of Sigel and Karl Utz (Carla) of Effingham; her grandchildren, Kyle Spour (Jeff Street) of St. Louis, MO, Christopher Spour (Jessica) of Altamont, Brandon Spour (Temara) of Toledo, Colby Utz of Effingham, Carson Utz of Effingham and Connor Will of Effingham; her great grandchildren, Harlan McConkey of Altamont, Iris Spour of Altamont, Thea Spour of Altamont, Lena Spour of Altamont, Leti Spour of Altamont and Norah Spour of Toledo; and her siblings, Marlene Feuerborn of Effingham, Larry Sur (Rosie) of Bonita Springs, FL and Anita Claricoates of Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Phyllis' memory may be made to Ballard Nature Center.
