We bid farewell to Paul Thomas Sheehan of Effingham, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 28, 2024 at the age of 88. Paul touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem and Mary V. Sheehan (Hunk); his wife Barbara Sheehan; his daughter Diane Brockett; his brothers, Anthony Sheehan, John Sheehan, William Sheehan and Sam Sheehan; and his sister-in-law Lucille Sheehan.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Sheehan (Michelle) of Neoga and Paula Adams (Rick) of Odin, Illinois; his brother Jim Sheehan (Patty) of Danville, Illinois; his son-in-law Kenneth Brockett of Jacksonville, Florida; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Sheehan of Mattoon, Louise Sheehan of Teutopolis, Carol Sheehan of Teutopolis and Mardell Sheehan of Shumway, Illinois. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home, Inc. (520 Oak Ave, Neoga, IL 62447). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church (680 N Walnut St, Neoga, IL 62447). The military honors was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at the St. Patrick Cemetery.
