He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Wendling and Amelia Wendling (Poehler); his brothers, Vernon, Melvin and William; his sisters-in-law, Allene, Ilda and Ruth; and his parents-in-law, George and Evelyn Montgomery.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Montgomery; his children, Sara Sandifer of Effingham and Steven Wendling (Jill) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Christopher Sandifer (Cheyenne) of St. Louis, MO, Sean Sandifer of Effingham, Ryan Sandifer of St. Louis, MO, Jackson Wendling (Kayla Kroeger) of St. Louis, MO and Meredith Wendling of Kansas City, MO; and his brother Terry Wendling (Janet). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
