He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole S. Steigberg and Dorris Heggstrom Steigberg; his wife Marcia Jean Anderson; and his siblings, John G. Steigberg and Patricia Steigberg.
He is survived by: his niece Stephanie McCallister (Roy) of Effingham; his stepsons, Brian Trail (Crystal) of Washington, IL, Robert "Bobby" Trail of Washington, IL and Daniel Trail of Louisville, KY; and his sister Tina Shaw of Rantoul. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
