With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Sue Mathews of Effingham, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Moore and Ethel Moore (Evans); her husband Larry Mathews; and her siblings, Bobby, Tommy Moore, Marilyn Moore and Helen Farthing (Kenneth).
She is survived by: her children, R. Douglas, Natalie Mathews of Rome, GA, Lisa, Don Harris of Flora, IL, Scott Anthony and Jan Mathews; and her brother-in-law Jim. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peaceful Valley Cemetery (206 N Merritt St, Odin, IL 62870).
