With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary McWhorter of Effingham, Illinois, born in Brisbane, Queensland, who passed away on July 17, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henderson and Mary Henderson (Barry); her spouse Ferdie L. McWhorter; her children, Ferdie L. "Mickey" Jr., Daniel and Maureen; her grandchildren, Troy Boyer, Rachel Stuckemeyer and Joshua Baker; her son-in-law Lonnie Smith; and her siblings, Richard, Patrick, John, Clarence, Stanley, Percy, Alfred, William, Timothy, Leslie Henderson and Kathleen Richmond.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Smith of Shumway, Patrick (Lila) of Effingham, Sharon Harris (Alan) of Effingham, Colleen Mitchell (Michael) of Northrop, CO, Irene Lilley (Greg) of Effingham, Eileen Stuckemeyer (Dale) of Altamont and Timothy (Patricia) of Cape Coral, FL; and her daughter-in-law Patti of Altamont. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
