With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jean Fear of Effingham, Illinois, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on June 12, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cruce of Washington and Christine Cruce (McCaslin); her husband Robert Franklin Fear; and her parents-in-law, Ira Franklin Fear and Arca Doris Fear (Field).

She is survived by: her sons, Stephen F. Fear (Terry) of Charleston, Gregory Scott Fear of Port Charles and Robert Bradley Fear of Charleston; her sister Helen Cruce; and her brother-in-law Keith A. Fear (Nancy) of Newton, Illinois.. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren.

In loving memory of Mary Jean, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
