She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Sieben and Verda Sieben (Reed); her husband Melvin R. Higgs; and her siblings, Irene Sieben, Dolores Hinkle and Art Sieben.
She is survived by: her daughter Dr. Patricia McCallister; her granddaughters, Megan Klemm (John) of Waynesville and Ingrid Minger (Ted) of Tuscola; and her great grandchildren, Blaine, Calla, Quentin Klemm, Bronwyn and Brayson Minger. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and brother and sister in laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Ballard Nature Center.
