He was predeceased by: his father Ed Mitchell; and his grandparents, Clyde, Marie Mitchell, Loren and Marie Kibler.
He is survived by: his mother Kaye Mitchell of Newton, Illinois.; his wife Gidget Mitchell of Effingham; his daughters, Michaela Esch (Cody) of St. Louis, MaKenzie Byram (Trevor) of Terre Haute and Madeline Mitchell of Louisville, Kentucky.; his siblings, Kimberly Keller (Michael) of Carmel and Matthew Mitchell (Sandra) of Newton, Illinois.; his parents-in-law, Connie Kerner of Newton and Jim Kerner of Newton, Illinois.; his siblings-in-law, Cassie Campton (Darrin) of Dieterich and Jay Kerner (Julie) of Teutopolis, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Crew Esch of St. Louis, Bexley and Bruin Byram of Terre Haute, Indiana.; and his nieces and nephews, Meridith Oliver (Matt), Mitchell Keller, Clayton (Nikki Miah), Callaway Campton, Drew, Paige Kerner, Mabry and Sienna Mitchell.
