He was predeceased by: his stepfather Herb Jones; his foster mother Nancy Slingerland; his father Philip Cable; and his nephew Blake Shamhart. He is survived by: his mother Doris Jones of Effingham; his siblings, Rhea Webb (Greg) of Effingham and Ron Shamhart (Julie) of Effingham; his nephews, Jason Webb (Amber) of Teutopolis, Cody Webb (Amy) of Watson and Bruce Shamhart of Effingham; and his niece Clare Shamhart of Effingham. He is also survived by great-niece and many great-nephews.
