She was predeceased by: her parents, Serno Tipsword and Leona Tipsword; her husband Leroy Gillespie Sr.; her siblings, Samuel, Carl, Jerry Tipsword, Diane Gordon and Patricia Thompson; her grandchildren, Timothy Gillespie, Carrie Conard and Timothy Cross; and her great grandchild Corbin Sheffield.
She is survived by: her children, Leroy Gillespie Jr. (Mildred) of Altamont, Frank Gillespie (Linda) of Dieterich, Illinois, Lucy Conard (Roy) of Edgewood, Beverly Munger (James) of Daleville and Leona Thomas (Louis) of Colorado; and her sisters, Lavista Rickafeller of Arcola, May McMillen of Altamont, Ellanore Russell (Carl) of Pana and Bessie Potter of St. Elmo. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
