It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Buhnerkempe of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on November 28, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Meyer and Theresa M. Meyer (Waldhoff); her parents-in-law, Ed and Agnes Buhnerkempe; her son Lawrence Jr.; her siblings, Lawrence Meyer (Eileen), Louis Meyer (Annie), Gene Meyer (Jeanie), John Meyer Jr., Theresa Mae Meinhart (Harold), Fred Meyer (Marilyn), Catherine Thoele (Harold), James J. Meyer and Gerald Meyer (Susie); and her siblings-in-law, Laverne Buhnerkempe and Art Buhnerkempe (Pat).
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Buhnerkempe (Larry); her children, Geri Buhnerkempe, Sharon Schumacher (Kevin), Sheila Kuhns (Steven), Bruce Buhnerkempe (Jill), Vicky Simmons (Damon) and Lisa Siemer (Marty); her grandchildren, Stephanie Pape (Patrick), Becky Daugherty (Jared), Jessica Pruemer (Kyle), Brad Kuhns (Fran), Kyle Kuhns (Kerry), Jon Kuhns (Morgan), Ben Kuhns (Shelby), Emily Arndt (Bill), Zoe Buhnerkempe, Anna Buhnerkempe, Andrew Simmons, Brian Simmons, Nick Simmons (Victoria), Edward Siemer, Lauren Siemer, Joe Siemer and Gus Siemer; her sister Ann Kingery (Virgil); and her sisters-in-law, Joan Meyer, Joyce Koeberlein and Wilma Buhnerkempe. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
