She was predeceased by: her parents, David Walker Freeman and Effie Freeman; her husband Samuel Albert Carter (Bert); her son Sam; her daughter-in-law Pat Carter; and her siblings, Ruth Johnson, Dora Perry, Delbert Freeman, David Walker Freeman, Marion Freeman, Calvin Freeman and Robert Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Carter (JoAnn) of Nacogdoches, Texas and Gaye McKean (Mike) of Altoona; her granddaughters, Danielle Kiker, Megan Fortenberry, Katherine McKean and Laura Ali; and her great grandchildren, Dayton, Wesley, Nolan, Colten, Kutter, Katy, Brycen, Zain and Hamza.
