With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leota M. McGee (Effingham, Illinois), who passed away on May 3, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Shirley and Cecil Shirley (Bushue); her husband John Tom McGee; her brother Clifford Shirley; and her grandson Mark McGee.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Thompson (Bruce) and Leslie Len McGee (Nancy); her sister Alverda Tillema (David) of Lake Lotawana, MO; her sister-in-law Frankie Shirley; her grandchildren, John Fancher (Jay), Stephanie Turner (Andrew), James Fancher (Bridget), Matthew McGee (Sherri) and Sarah Kreke (Nathan); and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Symphony, Reed Fancher, Olivia, Lucas Turner, Jacob, Nathan Fancher, Will, Thomas, Michael, Sam McGee, Johnathan, Benjamin and Kennedy Kreke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and wonderful neighbors and friends.
