With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Lynn Schaefer of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on December 3, 2021 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Tarrant (Beals) and Russell Tarrant; her sister Judy Habing; her brother-in-law Frank Antrim; her niece Tonya Gephart; and her nephew Michael Habing.
She is survived by: her husband William T. Schaefer; her children, Charity Boggs Ozenkoski (Troy) of Teutopolis and Jesse Boggs of Effingham, Illinois; her grandchildren, Seth Russell, Kaleb Boggs and Madison Boggs; her stepgrandchildren, Brooke, Lauren and Derek Ozenkoski; her great grandchild Emery Finfrock; her sisters, Virginia Antrim of Effingham and Patricia Bushue (Bob) of Mason, Illinois; and her brother-in-law Hub Habing. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
In loving memory of Karen and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for children.
