It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Edward Sanders Sr. of Effingham, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 28, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James John and Hazel Angeline Sanders (Wallace); his wife Marilyn Joan Chopp; his daughter Jean Ellen Profitt; his daughter-in-law Monica Sanders; and his brother Harold Sanders.
He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Sanders Jr. (Diane) of Joliet and James Sanders of Mercer, WI; and his brother George Sanders of Oregon State. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
