It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John W. Kirby of Effingham, Illinois, born in Flora, Illinois, who passed away on October 18, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kirby and Evelyn King; and his wife Patricia Porter. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Ann Luchtefeld (Charlie) of Effingham, Dr. Kristie Lynn Kirby (Rich Kessler) of Brentwood, TN and Kathy Lael McElroy of Effingham; his grandchildren, Dr. Jason Luchtefeld (Lisette Caissie), Mandy Luchtefeld Willenborg (Anthony), Kendrick McElroy (Anna) and John Kessler; and his great grandchildren, Sydney, Olivia Willenborg, Emelia and Elijah McElroy.
