It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Mueller (Effingham, Illinois), who passed away on October 17, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John; his sister Ruth; his brother-in-law Carroll "Nellie" Bennett; and his brothers, Walter "Cap" Mueller Jr. and Tom Mueller.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Virginia Mueller of Mattoon; and his nieces and nephews, Steve Bennett (Marsha), Debbie Devall (Bob), Pam Ploof (Bob), Cindy Ferris (Joe), Barb Carr (Dave), Julie O'Rourke (John), Janet Leikip (Tim) and Dennis Bennett (Leslie). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham.
