He was predeceased by: his parents, George Rich and Eva Rich (Murry); his son Zachary Rich; his brother Bob Rich; and his niece Heather Rich.
He is survived by: his daughter Alissa Peavler (Caleb); his grandchildren, Greyson, Wesley and Genevieve Peavler; his stepdaughter Kourtney Ludwig (Darryl) of Wentzville, MO.; and his sisters, Julie Clark (Roy) of Willow Hill, Cindy Pennington of Olney, Bonnie Phillips of Olney, Sharon King of Newton, Janet Dallmier (Jim) of Olney and Linda Fleming of Newton.
Memorials may be made in John's honor directly to the Effingham Park District for the baseball leagues.
