He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrl Beckert and Helen Beckert (Hammer); and his great-nephew David Welton. He is survived by: his siblings, Steve Beckert (Kris) of Fort Wayne, IN, Chris Boldt (Brad) of Walkertown, NC, Kathy Klitzing (Randy) of Altamont and Mark Beckert of Effingham; and his close friend Jimmy Webb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
