It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Elson (Effingham, Illinois), born in Macon, Illinois, who passed away on February 5, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight William and Evelyn P. Elson (Scott); and his grandson Albert Hogan. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Hogan, Yarbrough (Michael) of Granite City, Robert Elson (Jennifer) of Dixon, Timothy Elson (Christie) of Neoga and Evelyn "Susie" Tolch (Brian) of Dieterich, Illinois; and his sister Elizabeth Monroe of Decatur, Illinois. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
