It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay A. Kersey of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on October 6, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George G. Kersey and Jacqueline E. Kersey (Steele); and his daughter Jessica Epperson. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Epperson (Baker); his children, Jason Kersey (Melissa) and Jennifer Torbeck (Adam); his grandchildren, Alexis Torbeck (Zach Cornett), AJ and Emma Kersey; and his siblings, Mike, Brian Kersey (Kim), Jan Tucker (Sam) and Colleen Gartner (Todd).
