She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward R. Pruemer and Mary Ann Pruemer (Apke); her husband Andy West of Effingham; her sons, Kevin West (Shaona) of Toledo and Ernest West (Susan) of Green Creek; her sisters, Linda Mette (Philip) of Green Creek and Betty Ring (Steve) of Effingham; her granddaughters, Aurora West and Mollie Rodebaugh; and her sister Alice Pruemer. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
