It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet K. Prewitt of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren L. Lockman and Dortha Lockman (Callahan); her husband William M. "Bill" Prewitt; her sons, Scott and Matthew; and her sister Marilyn Bowman.
She is survived by: her children, Mark of Effingham and Jan Prewitt of Effingham; her daughter-in-law Robin Schaefer-Prewitt of Beecher City; her grandchildren, Jeremy Kyle of Effingham, Kristin Brown (Matt) of Effingham and James Prewitt of Aurora; her great grandchildren, Zachary Kyle, Abigail Kyle, Jillian Toops, Eva Toops, Kimber Brown and Jeremiah Seaton; her brother-in-law Dale Bowman of Seymour, IN; her nephew Bryan Bowman; and her nieces, Betsy Bowman Bryant, Beth Thomas and Becky Gordon.
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
