She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold D. Smith and Fannie E. Bond Smith; her siblings, Bud Smith (Carolyn), Dave Smith (Ethel) and Florence Richards (Ray); and her sister-in-law Barbara Smith.
She is survived by: her brother James Smith of Port Orange, FL; and her close friend Ken Wolford. She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
An animal lover through and through, especially her Italian cats which she rescued and brought back to the states, donations in her memory may be made to the Effingham Humane Society, PO Box 321, Effingham, IL 62401.
