James Walls Obituary
In loving memory of James Walls of Effingham, Illinois, who departed this world on April 24, 2025 at the age of 73. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Walls and Esther Walls (Heidbreder); his brother John "Johnny" Walls; and his nephew Kenneth Walls Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Walls; his sons, Jesse Walls (Amanda) and Joey Walls; his stepsons, Rodney McWhorter (Brittany Apke) and Billy McWhorter (Kimberly Kortte); his granddaughters, Georgia and Gemma; his stepgrandchildren, Clayton (Alyssa), Gabriel, Hailey, Wade, Macy, Coleman and Bowen; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emberleigh and Lucas; and his brother Kenneth Walls (Bertha).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
