He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Zumbahlen and Viola Zumbahlen (Habing); his wife Peggy D. Starwalt; his brothers, Larry Zumbahlen and Bob Zumbahlen; and his niece Amy Tolch (Zumbahlen).
He is survived by: his friend Tracy Tuman; his children, Kimberly Stanfield (Michael) of Effingham, Rhett Zumbahlen (Michelle Jeffries) of Effingham and Blake Zumbahlen (Kendra) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Cole, Taylen, Khye Stanfield, Brenden, Addie Zumbahlen, Bo, Hadyn and Ronan Zumbahlen; his brother Kenny Zumbahlen (Karen) of Jacksonville, IL; and his sister-in-law Alice Zumbahlen of Dieterich, IL..
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (101 E Virginia Ave, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers & gifts, memorials may be made to the Effingham Unit 40 Education Foundation to fund his scholarship, Sacred Heart School, or St. Anthony Church in Effingham.
