She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Robertson and Annie Robertson (Phillips); her siblings, John Robertson, Phillip Robertson and Audrey "Sue" Haywood (Robertson); her nephew Kenneth Haywood; her great-nephew Johnathan Warner; and her great-niece Jessica Warner.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Dedra Linn (Sandra Loy), Stacey Barker (Stacy Musson), Joseph Haywood (Kim) and Susan Martin (Jason).

As per Ila's wishes, her body has been donated to science to further research on Huntington's Disease.
