With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herman J. Cornell of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on June 28, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cornell and Clara Cornell (Lawrence); his grandchild Christie Graumenz; and his siblings, Gert Smith, Bernie Norman, Marie Hicks, Loretta Berchtold, George Cornell, Virgil Cornell, Richard Cornell, James and Flossie.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Cornell of Effingham; his children, Kathy Koester (Dan) of Effingham, Deb Wiedman (Chuck) of Effingham, Kenny Cornell (Susie) of Effingham and Terri Cain (Darryl) of Mason; his grandchildren, Janet Reed (Marvin), Mark Fulk (Jolene), David Wiedman (Elizabeth), Kevin Wiedman (Aja), Michael Wiedman (Jill), Caden Wiedman, Danny Cornell (Lisa), Robby Cornell, Julie Cornell, Doug Grzenia (Dee), Jacob Cain (Bianca), Greg Koester (Clara), Cheryl Foreman (Richard), Diana Koester (Melissa) and Denice Mahaffey (Neil); and his siblings, Teresa Miller, Madonna Bushur, Verena Niemerg and Tom Cornell (Doris). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
