It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henrietta Wilhemina Ryan of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on December 5, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hartke and Mahala Hartke (Cole); her husband Leo F. Ryan; and her siblings, Georgann Lyons, Alice Fortenberry, Gordon Hartke, Jim Hartke and Frank Hartke Jr. To.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carole Schottman (Bob) of Franklin and Catherine Arnold (William) of Effingham, Illinois; her grandchildren, Stephen (Emily), Heather Cook (Terry) of McCrae Georgia, Angela Arnold (Brian) of Effingham and Brianne Holmes (Jeremy) of Athens, Illinois.; and her great grandchildren, Grace, Grant, Shayla, Sophie Cook, Leo, Ellie Schottman, Aurora and Layla Holmes.
Though a strong woman, she was unable to overcome the devastating effects of Covid-19.
In loving memory of Henrietta, memorials may be given to the Crisis Nursery in Effingham, Illinois.
