Helen W. Slifer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen W. Slifer of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on April 24, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Sr. Cox and Lydia Cox (Welsh); her husband Kenneth Slifer; her son Jacob Slifer; and her siblings, Jacob Cox, Jr. (Berdina), Nancy Psik and Lydia Ann Shaffer (Gene).
She is survived by: her daughter Lydia Funneman (Clarence Jr.) of Effingham; her granddaughters, Megan of Effingham, Allison of Effingham and Kaitlyn Funneman of Effingham; and her siblings, David Cox (Nancy) of Charleston and Beth Haverstock of Charleston. She is also survived by mother and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Michael's Catholic Grade School Building Fund in Sigel, IL or HSHS Hospice.
